Trash

Trash is generally defined as food waste, soft paper products (towels, napkins, tissues, etc.), disposable diapers, styrofoam, cat litter, small pieces of wood, and items that cannot be recycled.  All trash must be placed in securely closed plastic bags and put into the large containers in the trash rooms on the lower level of each building.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, a trash removal service removes the trash and places it on the curb between 8 and 9:30 a.m.  A truck then picks up the trash between 10 and 11 a.m.  In addition to flattened corrugated cardboard boxes, residents can place medium-sized, non hazardous materials on the curbs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before 9:00 a.m. for disposal.

DO NOT PLACE TRASH ON THE CURBS DURING THE WEEKENDS.

DO NOT PUT HAZARDOUS WASTE IN THE TRASH (see Hazardous Waste).
